[Abasi toes off his shoes before following Omen towards the kitchen. The Absol sniffs at Kaveh's legs before bouncing off to the other parts of the apartment.

Setting the bags down on the counter, he looks at his roommate.]

Happy birthday. I brought dinner, and drinks.

[ Kaveh reaches out and gently pats the Absol. Once the Pokemon darts off, Kaveh turns toward Abasi. He could smell the food, of course, but the drinks are a surprise—although not as much as hearing Abasi wish him a happy birthday. ]

You remembered?

[ He's genuinely taken aback for a few moments. It's been years since they met back in college, after all, and he wouldn't have expected Abasi to bother retaining this particular bit of information after their falling out. ]

[Abasi snorts as he begins to empty out the bags he'd carried in.]

Of course I did. We used to celebrate it when we were in college, didn't we?

[Along with his, although it was mostly Kaveh's doing back then.

.... What happened to them?

But he knew the answer to that.]

[He nudges a box towards the other man.]

I'm sure I got the order right.

[ That was a long time ago.

Before he can dwell too much on the past, however, Abasi pushes a box toward him. When Kaveh opens it, he's pleasantly surprised to find his favorite dish from his favorite Indian restaurant. His eyes widen, and immediately his smile brightens to something far more genuine. ]

Oh! You know, for once I actually don't mind saying 'you're right'.

[There's a half smirk, half smile, and then a 'heh'.

He grabs a couple of plates and set them down.]

If you dish out the food, I'll go make sure the beasts have their dinner so they don't try to steal ours.

[He also flicks the bag from the liquor store.]

And there's drinks, if you want to find one for you.

Sounds good to me. But don't take too long, or else I can't promise there'll be any left for you.

[ He's teasing, as evidenced by his smile and the playful tilt of his brow.

While Kaveh does love to drink, he can't go through the whole bag that quickly. ]

[A hand wave as he leaves the kitchen to go feed their collected gaggle of Pokemon. At least they won't be begging for food they probably shouldn't have.]
